Drywall Ceiling Patch

I am going to have my hands full working on this old home. The house is over a hundred years old and requires many updates to make it more efficient. I recently cut out some drywall in my daughters ceiling to gain access to the attic space. I put up R-38 Insulation covering the whole upper level of the home. The pictures below illustrate the before and after.
